The County Department of Parks and Recreation will host a free soccer clinic from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Wong Stadium.

The Chevy Youth Soccer Instructional Clinic is open to the first 200 keiki ages 6-14 who register.

A signed waiver form, available from the same website, also is required. Waiver forms will be offered at the event.

Herbert Kruger was the best marksmen Oct. 18 during a B.A.D. Company shoot at the county trap and skeet range.

The top guns in the 100-target sub-gauge sporting clay shoot were Kruger (67), Ronald Nakamura (61) and Dexter Egdamin (59).

The club’s next shoot is 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Nov. 8. All shotguns, clay targets, ammunition and ear and eye protection must be supplied by participants.

Aikane Tennis will be held from 7-10 p.m. Tuesday at Edith Kanakaole Multipurpose Stadium from 7-10 p.m.

Holes-in-one

Chad Kawazoe made a hole-in-one Oct. 25 on the 163-yard 13th hole at Hilo Municipal Golf Course.

While playing in a HIGA six-man tourney, Kawazoe used a 7-iron for his first ace.

TJ Yasuhara, Vern Tengan, Miles Kawazoe, Naomi Kawazoe and Craig Hamamoto witnessed the hole-in-one.

• Elvis Kimura aced the 163-yard 13th hole Oct. 24 at Hilo Muni.

Playing with Hilo Korean Golf Club, Kimura used a 5-wood for his first hole-in-one.

Jimmy Yoon, Harry Kong, Philip Yoshimura, Ung Lee, Lloyd Lee, Ken Nishihira and Young Soo witnessed the ace.
